​R/GA is an international innovation consultancy headquartered in New York. R/GA was seeking to expand their market presence in Japan and Makeshift was commissioned to build their Tokyo base for about 50 local members. The open-plan office encompasses three floors that are each 150 to 200 square meters, provides sit/stand desks, and includes communal lounge and meeting rooms. One of the unique features of this office is that most of the wall finish is writable. The concept"Nothing is going to be fancy and nothing is going to be objectionable"  of their NY headquarters was also used in Tokyo  in the furniture selection and design detail.

ニューヨークに本社を置くイノベーションのコンサルタントである R/GA社が日本へのマーケットを拡大するのための拠点づくりをお手伝いました。デザインとテクノロジーを掛け合わせた広告やプロダクトを得意とする約50人ほどが働けるのオフィスの設計を担当。各フロア150~200平米からなるビルの３層を占有し、昇降式のデスクエリア、ラウンジ、会議室が配置され、何よりクリエイティブエージェンシーとして特徴的なのが、そのほとんどの壁面に(ホワイトボード仕様になっており)書くことができます。

N Y本社のオフィスでも示唆される「贅沢なものもなければ、不快なものもない」という姿勢が家具選びやディテールに引き継がれている。
