WHEREVER

WTFC, a joint venture between Tohoku-Shinsha and Whatever, asked Makeshift to design the creative commune WHEREVER, where their talented designers, engineers, film directors, producers, and entrepreneurs can work together to make the world interesting with the power of creativity. The eight-story building houses about 70 individual creators,  with each floor having a unique design and function. Design aims to make this place  not only a workplace , but a commune where various creative staff can come and go and co-create. The first floor space can also be used as a gallery or event space that is open to the neighborhood. Makeshift also helped redesign the facade of the building, creating a large concrete surface facing Gaien Higashi Dori for a mural or creative action in the future.

Makesfhiftは 東北新社とWhatever社のジョイントベンチャーとなるWTFCと共に、デザイナー、エンジニア、フィルム・ディレクター、プロデューサー、アントレプレナーなど、クリエイティブの力で世界を面白くしようとするクリエイター同士が繋がり 共に働ける場所を設計しました。 フロアごとにデザインの異なる8 階建てのビル一棟に約 70 人の様々な個人クリエイターやチームが入居しています。仕事のベースとなるだけでなく、様々なクリエイティブな人たちが出入りし、共創し合える場として機能するようデザインされています。１Fはギャラリーやイベントスペースとして、外の人も招き入れることができる空間にもなっています。ファサードの改修も担当しており、ブランドサインを設置する以外にも、外苑東通りに面する外構には 近い将来 壁画制作やクリエイティブアクションが実行できるよう巨大壁を設置しています。
